The Geelong West Brass Band, Sparrow Park Brass and Geelong West Youth Band are always looking for keen brass and percussion players to join our bands.

Our bands are friendly and social, and we go out of our way to make new members feel welcome.

Even if you haven't played for a long time or you play another brass instrument (trumpet, French horn), it's not that difficult to transition, and you would be very welcome.

The band has high-quality instruments available to loan for members.

A typical Brass Band consists of the following instruments

• 1 x Soprano Cornet (Eb)
• 9-10 x Cornet (Bb)
• 1 x Flugel Horn (Bb)
• 3-4 x Tenor Horn (Eb)
• 2 x Baritone Horn (Bb)
• 2 x Euphonium (Bb)
• 2-3 x Tenor Trombone
• 1 x Bass Trombone (Bass Clef)
• 4-6 x Tuba (Eb and Bb - Treble Clef)
• Percussion (Drum Kit, Tuned Percussion, Auxiliary Percussion)
